God of Born Again, Methodist churches is stupid for making laws that can't be obeyed all

BLOGGER Alfredo P Hernandez, 69, is a new brother in the Members Church of God International (MCGI). He was baptized on December 23, 2016 along with more than 1,800 men and women, young and old from all walks of life and from different faiths. A Catholic for more than 68 years since being baptized as an infant, he only took about two weeks to decide to jump ship and to follow the Old Path for the Salvation and Eternal Life promised by the Holy Father through Jesus Christ. It was not surprising, for he had been primed to embrace a new faith after his disappointment over how his former church had neglected and continues to neglect the spiritual needs of her faithful for the more material ambition – making money. Listening only for a few days to Evangelist Eli Soriano on his TV program Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path) as he expounded on the true teachings in the Holy Scriptures, this blogger knew that he finally found the man who would guide him back towards Jesus Christ. Carrying the cross of the Lord – His teachings - every day is a tough task. But it cannot equate with the pains and tribulations Jesus suffered on the cross to redeem us from our sins so that we could inherit Heaven in the end and be with the Holy Father as we enjoy an eternal life. Salamat sa Dios!!!

ONE of the flawed doctrines of the Methodist Church and various Born Again brands is that Moses’ Ten Commandments would never be complied with en toto.

This stems from a common truth that no man is perfect and that sinning comes like an ever-present oxygen for the lungs. The Ten Commandments projects itself as a formidable wall to scale, hence, no one could ever breach it. Failing, one's option is to commit it. Here, sin prevails and one pogi point for Satanas!

How much more with the many rules that Jesus Christ laid down in His Gospel in the New Testament, which is the heart of His teachings for the promised Salvation.

God handed down to Moses the laws etched by His fingers on two tablets of stone in a fiery display of power on Mt Sinai.

The ten rules boiled down to two basic tenets -- love of God and love of our neighbors.

The laws were necessary; there was a need to streamline the lives of the Israelites, who just obtained freedom after 400 years of slavery in Egypt. A new freedom breeds many ills, and considering that Moses herded to Israel about two million Israelites, a multitude without rules to deal with means chaos.

Now, having fled Egypt, they made a vast wilderness their home, which would later become a new country that God gave them, The Promise Land.

Exploiting the alleged flaws of the Mosaic Laws, the Methodists and the BAs came up with a notorious sales pitch to attract new members:

"No one is perfect before God, it's alright to commit any sin, anyway we've been saved by the grace of God and so we go straight to Heaven on Judgment Day."

Plain and easily understood, the recall -- it's alright to commit crime, you're save and will inherit Heaven -- is fast but as treacherous as Hell. It is simply as stupid as its authors.

Because of this tempting bait, many, especially the habitual transgressors, were hooked on it pronto as new tithe-giving members. Just to think that you can sin at your heart's desire and still journey to Heaven First Class. All you have to do is give your ikapu (tithes) without fail! Where else one can grab such a giveaway like this!

Come to think of it: The God in the Holy Bible, brilliant and rich in wisdom as He is, has common sense.

He would not create things that would turn out to be a big nonsense such as The Ten Commandments, as these religions claim. And these two non-Christian sects insist the Big 10 is undoable and no one is righteous enough to make it wholesale.

God created laws that nobody would be able to follow? Did he not anticipate that? Was He expecting too much from His creations?

Were this god's brains just too grounded that it concocted laws for a dud, not at all workable, and much more senseless?

Well, this is for sure the god that they worship, one who is world apart in holiness and in wisdom from the God in the Holy Bible, the One I worship, venerate and exalt day and night.

The thing is that, how come man does his best to obey the laws of the government of the day and tries not to violate them till his last breath?

And when it concerns with obeying the rules of God -- the Big 10 – how come there would be the usual impertinent outcry that they are all impossible to follow?

Now, here's the big news: Jesus wants us Christians to observe more rules -- updated rules from His Father -- under Christian dispensation, all designed to help us obtain the promise of Salvation.

They are really not that tough and rigid, but are humanly possible to carry out. We only have to do it without reservation or hesitance, with faith in the Lord Jesus that He’s here to help us carry His cross every day (Luke 9:23).

For instance: Is loving your wife and children impossible to do? Is respecting or honoring your parents not your cup of coffee? Is avoiding lotto, liquor, women, drugs and gambling undoable? Is it hard not to watch online porn? Is forgiving the man who conned you with some money an impossible gesture? Does praying for your enemy instead of getting back at him or her for a sweet revenge make you a lesser person? Is indulging adultery with your friend's wife unavoidable? Is helping a beggar so he would have some food for his hungry stomach unworthy of your esteem? Is avoiding to eat food served to diosdiosan such as patron santo and santa during religious pistahan out of question? How about staying away from Halal foodstuff (Islamic food) found in your favorite supermarket? Is committing estafa and swindling unsuspecting victims hard to resist? Can't you lend money to needy kapatid without interest? Is throwing away your favorite smoke difficult? There are more don’ts down the line, but looking at them now, you would see that they are not that life threatening for someone who will comply.

But the Methodists and BAs insist that most, if not all of these, are beyond their members' capacity to obey. (Wait!!! Someone has been whispering to these pastors -- the Devil, you know him?) But committing them is not an issue for they have been saved and their Salvation -- covering all their sins -- is assured. But look, Satanas is laughing his gut out for he knows the rules of Salvation, having worked with God before! He knew who will be saved and how, that's why he is also working hard, with the Born Agains and Methodists as his willing cohorts.

Of course, these two schemers are grossly wrong, and this wrong is certainly putting the souls of their members in great jeopardy. And surely, the Devil can see that and likes what's going on.

This is on the belief that no best effort is required to comply with Mosaic Laws, much less the rules of Jesus in His Gospel.

Simply said, the pastors of the Methodist Church and the Born Again tell their unsuspecting Kapatid that compliance "is no big deal" anyway, nobody would be able to score 100 per cent.

This line of thinking is like a revelation from a divine dream: it simply shows that these pastors are just plain lazy in dissecting Biblical verses for their hidden wisdom needed to give light to their meaning for the understanding of the ordinary truth-seeker.

Or perhaps, they are just plain nitwitted for they can't simply fathom the Biblical significance of what they are reading.

In a number of instances during the question and answer segment of the Ang Dating Daan program on UNTV, the one asking forum host Bro Eli Soriano -- they were either Born Agains or Catholics -- would complain that their pastors or priests had often failed to answer with coherence their queries on vital spiritual issues.

And when they tackled the issue at hand, they just adlibbed, or say mumbled, their way out of the question, failing to anchor their answers on pertinent verses in the Bible to give authority or credence to what they were saying.

They're just making nonsense stories -- the barbershop variety for most of the time. Because of this, the one asking a question felt betrayed, hanging. With this, he begins to question the sanity of staying put with his present faith.

Other pastors would threaten the kapatid with damnation in Hell if he insists on asking him about a Biblical verse.

"You're duty is not to ask your pastor something from the Bible but to believe in what he preaches", would be the pastor's usual rebuke.

"Sa demonyo ka, pag magtanong ka sa akin ng tungkol sa Biblia ..."

The truth is that because of their usual mental brownout to be able to digest a morsel of wisdom from the Word of God, many souls are misled, and are guided towards spiritual perdition.

Are Mosaic Laws too impossible for the mortals to obey? Had no one ever complied with the Ten Commandments? Was there no one ever righteous enough before the eyes of God?

The Methodists and the Born Agains pride themselves in saying “yes”.

But the Holy Scriptures say otherwise.

Job, who lived in the land of Uz, was blameless and upright. In Job 1:1 (NIV), it is said: “In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.” See?

Zecharia and Elizabeth, the parents of John the Baptist, first cousin of Jesus, loved God so much that they stayed  blameless before His eyes.

In Luke 1:6 (NLT), the Bible says: “Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous in God's eyes, careful to obey all of the Lord's commandments.”

Even Abel, the younger brother of devil-driven Cain, who was the first son of Eve, was righteous before God. He offered his produce in all humility and did not do anything that displeased God. Envious, Cain killed him.

Hebrew 11:4: “By faith Abel offered God a greater sacrifice than Cain, and through his faith he was commended as righteous, because God commended him for his offerings. And through his faith he still speaks, though he is dead.””

And Moses, who led the Israelites out of Egypt after 400 years of bondage, was righteous before God. Writing the Old Testament, he received Divine Guidance from God for he was entrusted to record the events that took place till Christianity came. His righteousness earned Moses continuous grace from his God.

Even Noah, builder of the great ark, and his family of seven, were deemed righteous before God. For their reward, they were spared from the wrath of God that destroyed the vast world around them with a huge deluge.

For these 13 Biblical inhabitants, staying away from sin was a tough job. But they never thought about it. Goodness was inherently enshrined in their hearts. It came naturally out of their skin. Whatever righteous deed they manifested was born out of their desire to show their love to the God of Abraham. They did their best in carrying about their lives, it was never programmed. Because they were righteous by heart and soul, this sparkling gem never escaped God's all-seeing, piercing eyes.

God is doing the same thing right now, looking through our hearts. And He knows us, each one of us. The Holy Father in Heaven knows that we can comply with His rules, after all, and with Jesus Christ in us, and helping us no end, we can hurdle all the rules with flying colors. Jesus will carry us through. God does not give us burden too heavy for us to carry. His commandments were forged to weigh like a feather light enough for his creatures to shoulder.

But as programmed, the Methodists and the BAs will continue to preach their "no one can obey all the rules for no one is perfect before God... Sinning is a matter of course" sales pitch to would-be recruits.

Very clearly, they are underrating the wisdom of God when He laid down the laws. They are insulting Him by preaching to their pitiable, exploited members that His laws are hopelessly undoable.

But then, when you come to think hard about it, it will hit you with a mild shock that they are talking about another god, who is not in Heaven. Theirs is a stupid god at that because of his nonsense commandments. It is one god who doesn't care for his people because even their respective churches don't care about the souls of their members. All they have in mind is to grow in number because in number, there are bodies to be mined for their rich ikapu! With this, their wallets are well-lined year-round till Judgment Day. That's there is to it.

My God, who is in Heaven, and with help from Jesus Christ, will see us through His commandments because He wants us saved (1 Timothy 2:4, 2 Timothy 2:25), for He doesn't stop loving us.

In all worldly things we do for ourselves under the sun, the sum of it all would be worthless if we don’t have fear in God, according to Abraham, the father of the Israelites (Ecclesiastes 1:1-3, 12:13-14).

And fear of Him is simply obeying His laws every day (Luke 9:23), for in them is His never-ending wisdom that nourishes and strengthens our beleaguered souls (John 4:12-14).

After all, God created us to glorify Him (1 Corinthians 10:14, 11:1) and to fear Him (Deuteronomy 6:24). That's our primordial duty (Deuteronomy 10:12, 6:5, Joshua 22:5, Micah 6:8). y
